Candidates who qualify are awarded a Lifetime Valid UPTET Certificate, which is mandatory for applying to UP government teacher posts (e.g., Super TET / Assistant Teacher recruitment).
Q13. Is UPTET 2026 a direct recruitment exam?
No. UPTET is purely a Teacher Eligibility Test — it is not a direct job recruitment. Passing UPTET only makes a candidate eligible to apply for teaching posts in UP government schools. The actual appointment happens through separate teacher recruitment drives such as Super TET or Assistant Teacher Recruitment announced by the UP government. UPTET qualification is a mandatory prerequisite for those recruitments.
नई Official Website है: upessc.up.gov.in और आवेदन पोर्टल है uptet.upessc.org
